Trainer Joe Tizzard and jockey Brendan Powell were in scintillating form last week, combining for seven winners, including a four-timer on a strong Ffos Las card and valuable handicap chase success with JPR One at Cheltenham.
Their Opening Bid likely needed his recent stable debut over hurdles at Chepstow and should make a bold bid now reverting to fences at his favourite venue.
The 11-year-old won seven of his 25 chase outings for former trainer Chris Down and has an outstanding record at Newton Abbot, having won on four of his eight visits.
He's arguably at his most effective over a bit further, but he has won over course-and-distance and is on a dangerous mark, 3lb below his last win.

A 145-day absence isn't ideal, but this should present a good opportunity for Robson De Aguiar's Mudyrk to get off the mark.
The son of Mehmas weakened quickly when finishing sixth of 10 on his introduction over 6f at Navan in May, but found major improvement upped to 7f at Fairyhouse the following month, finding only Aidan O’Brien's odds-on favourite Florida Bay half-a-length too good.
The winner won a Group 3 on his next outing and has continued to run well at a high level since, including when chasing home subsequent Group 1 Futurity Stakes winner Giant Sequoia in the Group 2 City Of Troy Stakes at the Curragh in August.
The selection ran to a Racing Post Rating of 88 on that occasion and anything like a replication of that form should see him come home in front.

These London Mile Series Qualifiers usually take plenty of winning, but this looks a weak race of its type and I’m hopeful that Girls Allowed will be able to follow up her recent course-and-distance romp, despite a 12lb hike.
The three-year-old had struggled in two turf outings since suffering a short-head defeat in classified company at Yarmouth in August, but proved a different animal under front-running tactics on her return to Polytrack (she ran here on her debut) earlier this month, scoring by seven lengths at odds of 33/1.
She's well drawn in stall four at Kempton and should be capable of a repeat against a host of largely disappointing maidens.
