There are five meetings scheduled to take place across Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, with jumping dominating the afternoon action before a bumper nine-race AW Flat fixture under the lights at Wolverhampton.
Racing Post tipster Marcus Buckland has provided three recommendations for the day's action.
Tuesday's Horse Racing Betting Tips
13:45 Fairyhouse - Bon Bon Fizz @ 11/8
14:03 Warwick - Woodstock City @ 11/2
15:39 Sedgefield - Curious Mrs Fox @ 13/8
13:45 Fairyhouse - Bon Bon Fizz @ 11/8
Gordon Elliott has won four of the last six runnings of this race and looks set to add to that tally with Bon Bon Fizz, who showed strong form in bumpers.
The six-year-old fell at the last in his sole Irish point outing and suffered the same fate on his hurdling debut over 2m4f at Thurles in February, tripping up at the final flight when likely to finish second at odds of 100/1.
Bon Bon Fizz was switched to bumpers afterwards and made a big impression when he won by a wide margin back at Thurles in March on what proved to be his final start for Paul O'Flynn, and was subsequently bought by Gigginstown House Stud for 56,000gns.
He ran to a lofty Racing Post Rating of 126 on that occasion and was only 5lb off that when narrowly beaten under a penalty on his debut for Elliott at the Punchestown Festival in April.
The form of his Thurles win was boosted last week when the runner-up, Thinkitdontjinxit, also now trained by Elliott, won a 20-runner maiden hurdle at Galway by 11 lengths.
14:03 Warwick - Woodstock City @ 11/2
Olly Murphy sent out 16 winners in October, his most productive month since May, which bodes well for Woodstock City's chances on his return from wind surgery at Warwick.
The six-year-old showed useful form up to 1m4f on the Flat for Ian Williams and ran creditably in three maiden/novice hurdle outings in late 2024 for that trainer, including when running to a Racing Post Rating of 100 third at Uttoxeter.
Woodstock City reverted to hurdles for the first time since then when third on his handicap/stable debut at Market Rasen last month, the son of Churchill showing up well for a long way before fading at the last, likely due to a respiratory issue.
He's undergone breathing surgery since then and has a first-time tongue-tie fitted, which makes him of obvious interest off his reduced official mark of 99.
15:39 Sedgefield - Curious Mrs Fox @ 13/8
The David Thompson-trained Curious Mrs Fox has been knocking at the door with regularity this season and won't get many better opportunities to get off the mark over hurdles than this.
The five-year-old, a 25-race maiden on the Flat, has proved far more effective over hurdles, finishing in the money on five of her nine outings, including when runner-up on three occasions.
Beaten by a short-head over course-and-distance last month, she's repeatedly run to Racing Post Ratings matching her current official mark, so, while yet to win, is solid and reliable, which is something that can't be said about the majority of today's rivals.
