It is Cox Plate weekend in Melbourne, with the Cox Plate being the feature race on the card, while there is also plenty of other group racing in support, with the Moonee Valley Gold Cup guaranteeing an entry to the Melbourne Cup.
James McDonald has ridden the winner of the Cox Plate for the last four runnings and partners Aeliana in the race this year.
Racing Post handicapper and tipster Jonny Pearson is on hand to talk you through his best bets, including a selection for the feature race itself.

Joseph O’Brien’s horses look to have travelled to Australia in great form, highlighted with his second and third in the Geelong Cup on Wednesday morning.
He has one runner in this race, Kizlyar, who is fancied to land the spoils.
The four-year-old has been in good form this season winning at Killarney before winning the Ascot Cup at Royal Ascot. He then ran in a good Group 3 at the Curragh finishing second and this is some of the best form on offer in this field.
Kislyar is well weighted for the contest, and provided he has a good trip round, he should take a lot of beating.
The only slight concern would be the trip as it might be on the sharp side for him, but he has shown plenty of speed, and provided there is a good pace to the race, his stamina can make all the difference.
There are a few rivals who could potentially give Kizlyar something to think about, but if the son of Make Believe is at his best, he will take all the beating.

The Cox Plate is the feature race, and unsurprisingly looks a hot contest this year with the likes of Sir Delius and Aeliana both set to go to post.
It is, however, the three-year-old Warwoven who gets the vote of confidence. He has been in good form in winning his last three races, producing a career-best performance in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas when last seen.
That success was very impressive, and a display which suggested there was a fair bit more to come from the colt with the way he won.
Also aiding him is the weight he is in receipt of against his older rivals, something which he can take full advantage of. Provided he continues on his current arc of improvement he can win the big one.
Sir Delius and Aeliana are the main dangers, and have been talking horses for over a year now, but with the weight allowance going against them, it looks too big an ask.
