Here are the latest horse racing betting tips for Thursday's card at Haydock from Racing Post tipster Adrian Wall.
15:10 Haydock – Lady Gormire @ 11/2
15:40 Haydock – Mister Moet @ 9/2
16:10 Haydock – La Cadalora @ 5/2
15:10 Haydock – Lady Gormire @ 11/2
Kevin Ryan got the month off to a winning start and, sporting the familiar Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum silks, debutante Lady Gormire looks the best play in the 6f maiden fillies' stakes at Haydock.
The stable won this contest in 2022 with Queen Me, who went on to compete at the highest level, and again in 2023 courtesy of Elinor Dashwood, who had a peak rating of 93, so this lady could be a smart type.
She is a sister to Involvement who had a peak Racing Post Rating of 108, and her dam was a Listed winner who finished third in the Oaks.
Her pedigree suggests she will need further in time but she should be hitting the line hard here.
15:40 Haydock – Mister Moet @ 9/2
In the following 6f nursery handicap, the Adrian Nicholls-trained Mister Moet is fancied to gain a second career win on his handicap debut under Harrison Shaw from what seems a lenient opening mark of 75.
The Nando Parrado gelding needed the run at Beverley on his debut but has progressed with each run subsequently, finishing runner-up at Hamilton before impressing over this trip with victory at Carlisle in May.
Despite being very weak in the betting late on that day, he blasted out and raced very keenly in the early stages but still found the reserves to last home to win by a length. There should be more to come now handicapping.
16:10 Haydock – La Cadalora @ 5/2
William Buick has only two rides at Haydock on Thursday and, given his incredible 29 per cent strike-rate at the track in the last five years, La Cadalora has to be of serious interest in the 1m3½f fillies' handicap.
Trained by James Fanshawe, the daughter of Nathaniel improved significantly when she was sent handicapping, with a third over 1m4f on fast ground at Newbury on handicap debut off 71 before being beaten half a length when third over 1m6½f at Doncaster from the same mark.
She just lacked that extra bit of stamina in the closing stages on her latest start so the drop back in trip looks like a good move.
Conditions will be no problem and she can again race from an unchanged mark.
