Ascot Champions Day Going: Latest conditions and weather update

Here are the latest going updates for British Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 19th October.

The Long Distance Cup, Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes and the Champion Stakes will all be run on the inner course at Ascot following heavy rainfall in the build up to this weekend's racing.

Conditions have changed from heavy, soft in places to heavy on the round track, with the rain continuing to fall throughout the week. The ground is slightly better and rated as soft on the inner Flat course.

The weather forecast initially suggested that showers will continue to fall on Saturday, though it now appears racegoers will experience dry conditions.
