Saturday's card at Doncaster features the final British Classic of the season, the St Leger, with seven runners lining up for the highlight, while the rest of the card offers plenty of interest too.
There are two Group 2s, in the Champagne Stakes and Park Stakes, while the Portland provides some meaty handicap action.
13:50 – Wolf Of Badenoch @ 7/2
14:25 – Cover Up @ 7/1
15:40 – You Got To Me @ 5/1

Chancellor has been all the rage in the Champagne Stakes after leaving a seriously good visual impression in an everyday novice at this track four weeks ago. While he is clearly Group horse in the making, there is little on his profile that Wolf Of Badenoch cannot claim and yet the latter is double the price.
On his debut, Wolf Of Badenoch won over this course and distance. Chancellor's Doncaster effort was much better, but he has not done what Wolf Of Badenoch did on moving into Group company.
In the Vintage Stakes, over Goodwood's idiosyncratic course, Wolf Of Badenoch hated every second of the early stages and got himself detached. He was able to latch back onto the field easily and, more impressively, was able to pass all bar winner Aomori City once they all got racing.
If Aomori City were in this race, he would be odds on. Wolf Of Badenoch was beaten only a length and three quarters by him, is known to be effective at this track and has the potential to improve further. He should be pushing Chancellor for favouritism.
14:25 – Cover Up @ 7/1
The Portland Handicap is famed for being a five-and-a-half furlong race, virtually unique even among all the big sprint handicaps on the calendar. More significant is that it takes place at Doncaster, which more than most tracks gives roughly equal chances to prominent and held-up horses, assuming an even pace.
So for all Cover Up is interesting in part because he is dropping back in distance, he is also likely to find this track to his liking. He has good all-weather form, and that has a tendency to translate well to Doncaster, while he also needs to be presented late and that is not necessarily a bad thing here.
On his last two starts, Cover Up has been fifth in the Stewards' Cup and in another Heritage Handicap at York. He was the last horse off the bridle in both and has not hit the line hard, losing places late on.
A little drop in distance could make all the difference to him, but that is not all he has going for him in the Portland.
15:40 – You Got To Me @ 5/1
Aidan O'Brien is sending his A team (City Of Troy) to the Breeders' Cup and his B team (Los Angeles and others) to Leopardstown this weekend. He has taken the view that he can win the St Leger with horses that would go off at big prices in a race on his own gallops - Illinois, Jan Brueghel and Grosvenor Square.
He might be right. For all their limitations, any of those three horses would be the stable star in most yards. However, the supplementing of Irish Oaks winner You Got To Me has potentially upended O'Brien's calculations.
This is a filly on the up. She was well enough regarded to contest the Oaks and the Ribblesdale. She was still learning in those races, but has taken off of late. She won at the Curragh, when strongly supported, and finished an excellent second in the all-age Yorkshire Oaks.
With this longer trip likely to suit, she can deliver a second Classic for her adventurous connections.
