The opening Bet Boost At bet365 Handicap throws up some questions for the potential market leaders. 

Believe You Me underscored a fondness for this venue when scoring a fortnight ago but Heather Main's filly has done all her best running on ground with 'soft' in the going description and now must prove herself on this forecast faster surface. 

Letter Of The Law won here this month too over C&D but disappointed at Salisbury on Thursday, while Dynamite Katie is unpredictable by nature and Destiny's Spirit has done all her winning at 5f and is yet to prove her stamina for this test. 

With the dead-eight runners engaged and three places to play for, a chance is handed to RIVAS ROB ROY for the John Gallagher yard.

He stays further but is a four-time career winner at around 7f and notched his most recent win at Brighton (1m, good) in May. 

He's proven on quick ground and still on a workable mark of 51. He's a veteran now and can be forgiven the odd off-day, as was the case having attempted to make all at Brighton 24 days ago.

A busy sort, the intervening lull amounts to something of a break for him and with plenty of these likely to be held up, Danny Muscutt's partner has a good chance of making his mark on this race under positive tactics. 

19:20 - Jazz Scene - 10/3

Recent Epsom winner Local Bay is in cracking form, that success making it three wins in four starts since the start of June but he's on a career-high turf mark now and might struggle giving weight to three-year-old rival JAZZ SCENE.

Sir Mark Prescott's son of Too Darn Hot improved on handicap bow last month at Hamilton when stepped up to 1m½f (good) as he opened his account on fourth start, making the early running and then turning away the challenge laid down by main market rival Mysteryofthesands when it came.

The runner-up was one of two next-time-out winners to emerge from that Scottish race.

Jazz Scene meanwhile was unable to repeat the dose on Lingfield's Polytrack since, again making the running and this time getting overhauled late by two older rivals. 

This mark of 67 is one that shouldn't prove a ceiling for him back on turf and Luke Morris' partner could be hard to topple in the Never Ordinary At bet365 Handicap.

20:55 – Bobacious @ 2/1

Following a near miss over course and distance eight days ago, in-form BOBACIOUS can make amends in the concluding Each Way Extra At bet365 Handicap over 1m2f for trainer Georgina Nicholls.

The gelded son of Telescope started off in National Hunt circles, showing little in three runs last year, but he hinted at ability in the spring when switched to the Flat and has confirmed that since returning from a wind operation. 

His second run back saw him finishing third behind a horse completing the second leg of a four-timer and he began this month with a determined win at Brighton (1m2f, good), rallying gamely deep inside the final furlong after Corporate Raider appeared to have gained his measure. 

Bobacious and Joshua Bryan set a strong pace in front here last week and appeared set for success only for Carp Kid to emerge from the pack and nab them late, with a yawning six lengths back to the third.

This four-year-old can turn out from the same mark on Friday night, before a 5lb ratings-hike kicks in, and a repeat of that effort over track and trip may suffice for a gelding that should have more to offer at this distance.
