15:15 – Cell Sa Beela - 10/1

Nine runners are set to go to post for the feature £100,000 Listed 7f bet365 Queen Charlotte Fillies' Stakes from Chelmsford (15:15) on Sunday afternoon, and Cell Sa Beela has likeable each-way claims, representing Roger Varian.

Varian has had three winners in the past fortnight and is 53-270 (20%) with his runners on this course. Silvestre De Sousa is taking over in the saddle and he is a notable 43-176 (24% +£15.09) when riding for Varian.

The daughter of Kingman ran third over this 7f trip at Kempton on her racecourse debut in August 2022.

She won over an extended 7f at Beverley the following month and she won a Listed 7f contest on good ground at Ascot in October 2023.

Following a modest Lingfield reappearance effort on turf, she took a small step back in the right direction when 18th of 24 in the Kensington Palace Fillies' Handicap at the Royal meeting last month.

The reason for optimism is this first return to a synthetic surface since her Kempton debut third, and that promises to suit from a favourable low draw.

She ran to a peak Racing Post Rating (RPR) of 102 when third in Listed company over slightly further at Longchamp in August last year, a level of form which would put her right in the mix, and that effort suggests this stiff 7f on the all-weather may prove ideal.

15:50 – Zealot - 13/2

Zealot makes plenty of each-way appeal in the nine-runner Class 3 1m2f handicap at Chelmsford (15:50), representing Michael Appleby from a favourable low draw.

Appleby is 7-34 (21%) with his runners in the past fortnight. His six-year-old is 3-8 on Polytrack, 3-6 over this distance and 6-17 on left-handed tracks, including a course-and-distance success in March last year from a 12lb higher rating.

The selection reached a promising third over this course and distance in a slightly stronger contest off this reduced mark of 84 last month and Alistair Rawlinson is continuing in the saddle, who is 2-5 on the Pivotal gelding.

17:35 – Valkyrian - 10/1

Valkyrian is another each-way suggestion in the second division of the 10-runner Class 4 1m handicap from Chelmsford (17:35), representing Jamie Osborne.

Osborne's horses are in competitive form. Saffie Osborne is 69-584 (12%) when riding for her father and is 2-9 when riding this daughter of Kodiac.

The selection features off just above a winning mark, wasn't disgraced over this course and distance last month and a reproduction of her 82 RPR over this course and distance in October would likely suffice from an exploitable rating of 72.
