Northampton Saints star Henry Pollock has finally put an end to speculation regarding his future, signing a new contract with his boyhood club.
Pollock's future had been a cloud over last season's Gallagher Prem winners for much of the summer, with the 21-year-old's agent Eddie Hearn making numerous comments in the press, but that has now been put to bed.
In a statement on Tuesday morning, Northampton Saints announced that their academy graduate had put pen to paper on a new deal, keeping him in the East Midlands "beyond this season."
With a number of their key England internationals in line for new terms, it was vitally important that the Saints kept hold of Pollock, who is fast becoming one of the sport's biggest names.
Since making his Northampton Saints debut at 17 in 2022, Pollock has gone on to feature 13 times for his country and even toured with the British and Irish Lions in 2025.
In a statement, Northampton Saints Director of Rugby Phil Dowson said: "We’re delighted that Henry has committed his future to Saints."
“Over the last few years, everyone has seen the quality he brings on the pitch and the speed of his rise through the game – but just as importantly, he’s a young man of outstanding character.
“He’s become an important figure not just for Saints, but for the wider game. He inspires young supporters, brings excitement to rugby, and understands that everything off the pitch is built on performing consistently on it. We’re excited to see what he can achieve over the coming years.”
On signing his new contract with the club, Pollock said: "I’m massively happy to re-sign with Saints, my boyhood club,”
“It’s an exciting place to be right now. We’re in a great spot as a team, but it feels like there’s still so much more growth in us."
“I’m still young, and we’ve got a young squad with a brilliant group of lads. Some of my best mates are here, and every day everyone pushes each other to improve and be the best players and team we can be. For where I am in my career, this is exactly where I want to be."
“I feel like we’re only just getting started. We won the PREM last season and we want to go again. Winning the Champions Cup is another huge ambition for us. We came so close a couple of years ago, and achieving that together would be incredibly special."
Northampton Saints get their 2026/27 Prem Rugby season underway at home to Newcastle Red Bulls on Friday night and Pollock's side are looking to retain the title for the first time in their history.
