Harry Kane has scored many better goals than the one he scuffed past Ederson at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday but none have ever meant quite so much.
Kane's bobbling effort, important in itself in that it secured Tottenham a precious 1-0 win against Manchester City, sent the England captain to the top of his club's scoring charts, leapfrogging the inimitable Jimmy Greaves.
And he celebrated like a man who had waited his entire career for that moment as the ground rose to acclaim this goalscoring machine's 267th club goal.
A "magical" moment was how a beaming Kane described the feeling when he made a piece of Tottenham history. But how many more magical moments are left for Kane to experience and how many more records can this truly world-class striker break?
The first task on Kane's to-do list after breaking Greaves' record - and scoring his 200th Premier League goal at the same time - is to continue scoring for Tottenham as they seek a return to the Champions League.
Antonio Conte has assembled an improving side who are fifth in the Premier League having played more games than all the teams above them.
That they are still in top-four contention - they are 13/8 to pull it off - is almost wholly down to Kane.
No-one, not even Golden Boot pace-setter Erling Haaland, has scored in more matches than Kane, who has found the net in 15 different fixtures. He has scored the winning goal in five of those. It's hard to quite imagine where Tottenham would be without him.
But that has been the case for several seasons now. Kane's 200th top-flight goal against City was his 17th of yet another prolific season, the ninth in a row in which he has cleared the 17 mark.
It's that level of consistency that has turned this unremarkable man into a truly remarkable goal-getter.
Seventeen goals in 22 matches is an astonishing return given the quality of opposition in the top-flight - yet it still pales next to Haaland.
The Manchester City frontman may have 'only' found the net in 14 matches but he boasts 25 goals despite being utterly upstaged by his Spurs opposite number at the weekend.
It's the reason why Kane is a massive 12/1 to win the Golden Boot for a fourth time - only Thierry Henry has achieved that feat - with City's Norwegian ace a 1/20 chance.
Betting without Haaland is marginally more competitive with Kane a 2/9 chance ahead of 10-goal Marcus Rashford at 11/1.
His nearest challenger is actually Brentford's Ivan Toney, who is four behind the Spurs hitman on the 13-goal mark and 14/1 in betting without Haaland.
Kane's great strength - apart from his eye for goal - is his fitness. He has picked up his share of injuries but none have sidelined him for long.
The England frontman has played at least 28 league games in each of his last eight completed seasons and is heading that way again.
If he maintains his current rate of scoring, he will end the season with around 29 or 30 goals. He's 4/9 to score 25 or more, 9/4 to bag 30 or more and 12/1 to hit the 35 mark, something he has never done before and it's hard to see him doing this time.
When Kane notched his 200th Premier League goal on Sunday he joined an elite trio to have cleared that magical mark.
Far away at the head of the charts is Alan Shearer, who scored 260 Premier League goals during a fantastic career, followed by Wayne Rooney on 208.
And if the market is your guide, then Kane is going to beat them both, in Rooney's case this season.
It's 4/7 he scores over 260.5 Premier League goals, 5/4 he doesn't, and at the relatively tender age of 29, he has certainly got time on his side.
We asked our followers on Twitter whether they thought he'd break the record, and you can see the results below, with nearly three in four voters backing him to overtake Shearer.
Presuming he stays fit, plays every game and carries on scoring at the rate he does, he would hit the 261-goal mark in another 91 matches, so around May 2025.
And that, of course, is presuming he stays in England.
The only serious interest in Kane over the past couple of years appears to have come from Manchesters City and United, though the back pages throughout January also teased the idea of a possible summer move to Bayern Munich or Real Madrid, regular ports of call when it comes to transfer window destination dropping.
Wherever the next stage of his career takes him you'd imagine this incomparable goal-getter won't stop scoring. Kane has many more records to break.
