Unbeaten welterweight prospect Harlem Eubank has revealed talks are underway for a blockbuster summer showdown with Jack Catterall as the Brighton star eyes up world titles in 2025.

The 31-year-old cousin of Chris Eubank Jr produced a career best performance to breeze past Tyrone McKenna last month, stopping the battle-hardened veteran in emphatic fashion in the tenth round.

Eubank had already floored his opponent a couple of times prior to the bout being halted late on, and subsequently signalled his intentions of testing himself at an even higher level in his next fight in a bid to propel himself into the world title contention.

Two-time world title contender Catterall has since emerged as a potential opponent, and Eubank has confirmed that discussions are now well underway in hope of agreeing a deal for the two to lock-horns in the coming months.

"We’ve called for the Catterall fight, and there’s been positive talks from either side," Eubank exclusively told Boxing News this week.

"So now we’re waiting for an offer from Matchroom and hopefully that offer resembles the type of challenge and fighter that Jack Catterall is.

I’ve been training hard, so I’m ready and waiting for a big fight to be delivered - I think my performance against McKenna showed everyone that I’m ready to compete at world level.

"I’m ready to challenge for world titles, and fights against opponents like Catterall the type of fights I’m looking to make next - hopefully this summer."

Catterall has, of course, previously campaigned at super-lightweight, but has revealed he would be open to stepping up to welterweight to fulfill his own world title aspirations.

He was narrowly beaten by Arnold Barboza Jr last time out, but has previously claimed the scalps of former undisputed king Josh Taylor and Regis Prograis to cement himself as one of the current stars of British boxing.

Whilst Eubank is making no secret of the fact that he would welcome a showdown with Catterall with open arms, he has also revealed that there is a back-up plan in case that bout can't be made.

“There’s also talks of a big fighter from the US coming over to Brighton, so it’s exciting either way," the 21-0 fighter added.

"Ideally, we’d like to fight a former world champion - we are all on the same page with that, so let's see what happens.”
