19:06 Monmore - Stonepark Champ @ 13/2

Maxine Locke's impressive recent Romford winner Stonepark Champ arrives with confidence sky-high and has been handed a brilliant draw in the first heat of a four-bend competition over 480m.

The two-round competition features on the undercard of the £20,000 PGR Golden Jacket and the opener is jam-packed full of early pace, but there could be crowding on the inside with four speedy railers all lining up.

Locke's charge is the sole middle seed in trap five and will enjoy a smooth passage to the opening turn.

19:22 Monmore - New Destiny @ 8/15

Multiple big-race champion New Destiny set the standard in the opening round of the PGR Golden Jacket at Monmore and the Mark Wallis-trained superstar can follow up with another dominant display in her semi-final on Saturday night.

The 684m trip is a stiff six bends but it also offers up a long run to the bend and this speedy stayer relishes the opportunity to go through the gears early on before pouring on the pressure.

A winner over a variety of different trips and a number of different tracks, New Destiny is classy and versatile. But she is certainly at her best when in command early on and this track and trip suit her perfectly.

Deadly Disco is a clear main danger and the forecast pick, he battled on well just to qualify after making a mess of the start. The Richard Rees-trained runner is capable of a much better break and can race closer to the pace here. He starts well and stays well, a solid forecast play.

19:56 Monmore - Hogans Hawk @ 9/4

The recent bet365 Hunt Cup champion at Oxford, Hogans Hawk, battled hard to qualify through the opening round of the Golden Jacket, but this time around Seamus Cahill's speedy stayer can have things her own way and dominate from the outset.

Flanked by marathon types in Ballymac Taylor and Magical Luna, the coast is clear up the inside for the Hove raider to pace up and assert around the first couple of turns.

At Oxford over 650m she showed no signs of stopping and once hitting the front here she will prove a tough runner to pass. She is strongly fancied to score and is a big player for outright honours.

Of the aforementioned marathon rivals flanking her, it is Ballymac Taylor who is the runner for forecast and tricast punters to focus on. Outside of leading fancy and kennelmate Mongys Wild, who is expected to score in the second semi-final, this is the strongest runner in the whole field and can motor up the home straight to qualify for next week's prestigious and lucrative final.
