Keith Deller MBE shares his best bets for Sunday's fascinating Grand Slam of Darts semi-final clash between Mickey Mansell and Martin Lukeman.
Mickey Mansell v Martin Lukeman
Sunday 17th November (13:20)
Not many would have envisioned Mickey Mansell and Martin Lukeman in the final four of the Grand Slam of Darts!
This is a surprise semi-final and there's so much on the line, not least because of the chance of making the final and the £70,000 prize money on offer, but also because the winner of this match will be back at the Grand Slam again next year.
I don't think there's much in it. Lukeman is playing slightly better of the pair but Mansell did excellently to come back from 4-1 down, he's performing impressively and he can finish well; you just can't underestimate this guy.
I'm taking at least 29 legs in the match, but I'm also backing Mansell to do the opposite to his quarter-final clash and make a fast start against Lukeman and lead after four legs.
Though Mansell got 10 180s against Cameron Menzies, this is going to be an edgy game. With that said, I still expect them both to produce at least 13 maximums in the match.
Five-plus 100+ checkouts also takes my eye in this contest. They're both very deliberate players and I think this will have a great chance as I'm expecting there to be a lot of legs.
It's a very close call and if I was to pick one, I can see Lukeman just sneaking the victory. Either way, it will be great to see how they both get on with so much on the line.
Odds will display when markets are live.
