Keith Deller MBE shares his best bets for Sunday's mouth-watering Grand Slam of Darts semi-final clash between Luke Littler and Gary Anderson.
Luke Littler v Gary Anderson
Sunday 17th November (15:00)
Luke Littler against Gary Anderson: These are two players that can hit 100+ averages and 180s for fun and I think this is going to be a fantastic game; Littler's obviously the slight favourite, but Anderson's been playing brilliantly all year on the floor and he's now doing it on TV.
Littler demolished Jermaine Wattimena in the quarter-final, hitting a maximum in each of his first eight legs, and despite there only being 18 legs in the 16-2 rout, there were a total of 17 180s, with Littler responsible for 12 of them.
In the best-of-31 semi-final I've gone for over 28.5 legs as I think this is going to go really close, and if we do indeed see 29 or more legs, expect over 23.5 180s to land too.
Littler knocked out four ton-plus finishes against Wattimena including a 167, and if this is as close as I envisage, there'll be plenty of opportunities for one of them to reel in the Big Fish, so I'm taking a 170 checkout at 7/2.
We've twice seen Littler miss D12 for a 9-darter at this year's Grand Slam, but they way these two are scoring and the way they hit 180s, it's hard to imagine we won't see at least one of them leave themselves on 141 after six darts, so I'm going for a 9-dart finish at 12/1.
Odds will display when markets are live.
