The knockout stage begins at the 2024 Grand Slam of Darts and Keith Deller MBE picks out his best bets for Wednesday's clash between James Wade and Cameron Menzies.
James Wade v Cameron Menzies
Wednesday 13th November (20:10)
As we've grown accustomed to with James Wade, he did what he needed to do in an important last match. If you give him a shot at the finishes, he'll take them out!
He's scoring a lot better than he has been, he's hitting a lot more 180s than he used to and I think Wade will be a very tough customer here.
As for Cameron Menzies, he bottled it against Beau Greaves. She played really well but Menzies lost the plot a little bit and that's a worry.
However, he's got the longer format now over 19 legs and given he thought he was going out when Martin Schindler had those chances against Danny Noppert to punish him, he'll think he's got a second chance.
I think this will be a close match, which is why I'm backing over 17.5 legs at 6/4 and I also like the look of the score to be 2-2 after four legs at 11/8.
If it does go close, expect Wade to show why he's won the majors and I'm siding with the Machine to win the match.
