I Am Maximus 16/1 favourite to win 2025 Grand National

We have priced up I Am Maximus as the 16/1 favourite to win the 2025 Grand National following his triumph at Aintree on Saturday afternoon.

The 7/1 joint-favourite was victorious by over seven lengths in the world's most famous steeplechase to give jockey Paul Townend his first win in the race at the 13th attempt.

It was also the second Grand National winner for Irish trainer Willie Mullins following Hedgehunter's victory in 2005.

I Am Maximus is the early favourite for next year's grand event and Mullins will hope he can fare better in his title defence than Corach Rambler, who unseated jockey Derek Fox at the first fence in this year's renewal after winning the 2023 Grand National.

Another leading contender in the early betting for next year's Grand National is Irish National winner Intense Raffles, who will look to follow the same path as I Am Maximus by winning the Irish and English races in successive years.

Like Intense Raffles, Kitty's Light is also given odds of 25/1 for the 2025 Grand National, with Delta Work, Galvin and Minella Indo all 33/1 shots after impressive performances on Saturday.
