Women's PGA Championship: Prediction, Tips and Odds

It's Major time on the LPGA Tour this week with a star-studded field heading to Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Washington for the Women's PGA Championship.

This will be the third time Sahalee has hosted a Major tournament, following on from the 1998 men's PGA Championship and the women's equivalent in 2016.

Brooke Henderson claimed the spoils eight years ago, beating Lydia Ko in a play-off, and the Canadian is 25/1 to become the 15th female player to win this event two times or more.

Women's PGA Championship betting tips and predictions

Allisen Corpuz to win and each-way @ 70/1

With Nelly Korda missing back-to-back cuts and her dominance in the women's game seemingly being checked, there is scope to look further down the betting and one player that jumps out is 70/1 shot Allisen Corpuz.

The 26-year-old broke her Major duck at the 2023 US Women's Open, finishing three strokes ahead of Charley Hull and Jiyai Shin, and that experience of getting over the line on the biggest stage is invaluable.

Corpuz has been struggling for form this season, missing two cuts in a row in May, but she bounced back at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give last time out when tied-fifth.

This was a much-needed confidence boost for the American ahead of this trip to Sahalee Country Club, a course that is tree-lined and has several bunkers protecting the greens.

Accuracy off the tee is a must and Corpuz is unrivalled in that department this season, while her ranking of 20th in greens in regulation is another plus given the need for precision on approach.

Ayaka Furue @ 16/1

At shorter odds of 16/1, it is hard to ignore the chances of Ayaka Furue as she aims to make her Major breakthrough at the 16th attempt.

The Japanese was tied-eighth in last year's Women's PGA Championship and she arrives in Washington in brilliant form, having racked up results of T7, T6, T2 and T8.

All areas of the 24-year-old's game are in fine shape right now. She ranks fourth in driving accuracy, 16th in greens in regulation and seventh for putts per GIR.

It doesn't seem like it will be long until Furue lands one of the five Majors, and that wait could come to an end on Sunday.

Megan Khang @ 40/1

Another interesting contender this week is Megan Khang, who is getting closer and closer to landing her maiden Major and will fancy her chances of getting in the mix again.

The 26-year-old American recorded her best Major finish in last year's event, ending up tied-third, and she is in great form coming into the tournament following a T2 at the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer.

Khang is another strong player from tee-to-green, as she ranks eighth in driving accuracy and 12th in greens in regulation, and any improvement with the putter should see her get into contention.
