The 125th US Open takes place at Oakmont County Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania this week and the 156-player field has been confirmed for the third Major of the season.

Defending champion Bryson DeChambeau will be in attendance as he aims to become the first player since Brooks Koepka in 2018 to successfully retain the trophy.

World number one Scottie Scheffler has been in blistering form over the last month, collecting the US PGA Championship among others titles, and he will fancy his chances of coming out on top.

US Open qualification criteria

There are several ways to earn a spot in a US Open field and we have listed all of the categories below.

Along with Major champions from the past five and 10 years, there are also players from the 2024 Tour Championship field and Amateur winners of certain events.

Players could also go through Final Qualifying tournaments, which Cameron Young managed to do.
