The Solheim Cup is the women's version of the Ryder Cup, bringing together the best players from the United States and Europe, and the Racing Post's Steve Palmer has picked out his five best bets for the showpiece event.
This year's edition takes place at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, where there will be three days of matchplay combat.
USA to win - 4/7
The United States line-up are desperate to get back to winning ways in the Solheim Cup and they appear to have all the tools for victory. The home team seems much stronger than the visitors and the streak of European success should come to an end on Sunday.
Punters have to play at 4/7 if they side with the United States, but the short odds are understandable, as the States have won seven of the nine Solheim Cup editions staged in America.
With world number one Nelly Korda on the team, along with two-time Major champion Lilia Vu, USA have two trump cards.
USA to win 16-12 - 12/1
There is a beautiful balance to the American side. Lexi Thompson is a vastly experienced Solheim Cup campaigner who is making her swansong this week, while Rose Zhang is at the other end of her career.
Zhang is arguably the best young player in the world and appears ready to make a huge impact in Virginia.
The 12/1 about Team USA winning the contest by a 16-12 scoreline looks full of juice. Europe have gone three Solheim Cups undefeated, but this week's venue sets up well for the Americans and the atmosphere should be fiercely patriotic. The likes of Albane Valenzuela and Esther Henseleit look like lambs to the slaughter.
Nelly Korda top points scorer - 15/2
Punters studying the top-scorer markets should be angling towards players who are likely to see lots of action. Guessing the intentions of the team captains is key to success when betting on golf team events.
It would be a huge shock should USA skipper Stacy Lewis fail to employ Nelly Korda for five matches.
Korda is fit enough to handle such a workload and the world number one has an excellent record in this event, losing just four of her 12 matches. The 26-year-old looks a bargain at 15/2 to score more points than anyone else in the competition.
Linn Grant top European - 5/1
The main European resistance may come from Swedish ace Linn Grant, who can be backed at 5/1 to be her continent's top scorer.
Over the last couple of years, Grant has established herself as one of the best players in the world, and she should thrive on a Swedish-heavy side in Virginia.
Grant is one of four Swedes on the European team. She may pair up with her good friend Maja Stark in a potent partnership.
Grant won three of her five matches on her Solheim Cup debut and looks even better equipped for her second start in the event.
Jennifer Kupcho top wildcard - 10/3
The market on who will finish as the top wildcard is an interesting one. The USA have three wildcard picks, while Europe has four, so this is a seven-runner market. The 10/3 about Jennifer Kupcho is by far the most appealing option.
The last time the Solheim Cup was staged in the United States, Kupcho tied for top American points scorer, despite playing only four matches.
Stacy Lewis knows Kupcho - a Major champion and three-time LPGA Tour winner - is a key component in her side.
