Singapore Classic: Free Tips, Prediction and Odds

The Laguna National Golf Club hosts the DP World Tour this week with Robert MacIntyre being chalked up as favourite for the Singapore Classic.

Jesper Svensson won the tournament in a playoff last year but won't be around to defend his title, with the Swede instead heading to the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship.

Tom McKibbin to win the Singapore Classic (each-way) - 16/1

Tom McKibbin joins fellow LIV Tour pro Paul Casey towards the top end of the market for this week's offering and he could make a bold bid for a second DP World Tour title.

The 22-year-old made the leap to join LIV at the start of the year and will feel that finishes of 15-7-6-25 from his first four tournaments present a decent start.

He should benefit from the fact that last week's tournament was played just 25 minutes down the road from Laguna National, which McKibbin has visited twice.

The Northern Irishman defied some poor form to blast an opening 64 on his way to finishing 12th two years ago and his quest for glory 12 months ago was undoubtedly affected by illness, which contributed to him missing the cut.

Now, fully fit and already acclimatised to the conditions in Singapore, he looks ready to add a second DPWT title to the European Open he captured in 2023.

Haotong Li to win the Singapore Classic (each-way) - 28/1

China's Haotong Li already knows what it is like to be in the winners' circle on the DP World Tour this year after he proved one shot too good for Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen at last month's Qatar Masters.

If anything, he will probably feel underwhelmed as to how things have gone since as he stormed into contention at the the Kenya Open following a Saturday 66, but he faded with a closing 74 that meant he slipped to a 41st-place finish.

He will have also been frustrated that he was denied the opportunity to fight his way back into the frame at the South Africa Open due to the final-round abandonment when a third-round 73 let him down and meant he finished 16th.

Li will hope he can make up for last year's disappointment when he carded a closing 75 after getting into a strong position, but he appears to be knocking on the door again and can make his presence felt.

Marco Penge to win the Singapore Classic (each-way) - 50/1

Marco Penge has emerged from a PGA Tour suspension in fine fettle and can build on three encouraging performances this week.

The Englishman posted a top-20 finish at the Kenya Open before he was third at the South Africa Open and then 19th at the Joburg Open.

Like Li, his close effort in South Africa was particularly frustrating as the final round in Durban had to be abandoned due to bad weather and Penge was just one shot from earning a place in the playoff that decided the affair, one he could easily have taken had the tournament lasted the regular duration.

That should continue to spur him on and his game looks in good shape.

As the second-best player on the DPWT in terms of driving distance, he should be able to challenge at this venue, especially as his approach play and putting also appear to be trending nicely.

The two-time Challenge Tour winner missed the cut here last year, but his game is in much better order this time and he could finally claim that first DPWT crown.
