The DP World Tour stops off in France this week for the Open de France in what promises to be an enthralling battle for the oldest national open in Continental Europe.
American Billy Horschel leads the charge for the Stars and Stripes and after missing the cut at last week's Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and the 12/1 favourite will be eager to rediscover the form that recently delivered BMW PGA Championship glory.
Bernd Wiesberger to win and each-way - 40/1
Le Golf National has quite a linksy feel about it and given the fact there is thick rough, undulating fairways and plenty of water hazards to negotiate, it's no surprise that a strong tee-to-green has been the cornerstone of victories at this venue.
With that in mind, Austrian Bernd Wiesberger looks capable of challenging this week and adding to the title he collected back in 2015 when finishing three strokes clear of James Morrison on -13.
The 38-year-old is sixth in strokes gained tee-to-green and fifth in greens in regulation, evidence of his stellar long game, while he has also shown a deft touch around the greens with a scrambling ranking of fifth.
A strong putter is not always a necessity at this venue, which is the weakest part of Wiesberger's game, but the fact he has impressed with the flat stick on these surfaces before is a huge positive.
Adrian Otaegui to win and each-way - 50/1
Spaniard Adrian Otaegui is unrivalled in driving accuracy this season, boasting an impressive 68.37 per cent, and that should stand him in good stead around this course.
The 31-year-old has looked sharp with the irons, highlighted by his GIR ranking of 36th, while a strokes gained around-the-green statistic of 13th shows his short game has been neat.
Otaegui recently secured back-to-back top-20 finishes at the Irish Open and BMW PGA Championship and if he can rediscover that type of form this week, he could be in the running.
Frederic Lacroix to win and each-way - 50/1
There are plenty of home hopefuls in the field this week and Frederic Lacroix, whose two outings here have seen him finish 40th and miss the cut, could be worth a look at big odds.
While course form doesn't make for great reading, the 29-year-old is a more accomplished player since those efforts and he returns as a DP World Tour winner, having landed the Danish Golf Championship in August this year.
Lacroix has, understandably, taken his foot off the gas since that success four starts ago and missed the cut twice, but he did end up T17 at the Irish Open and that links form is a huge positive ahead of this test.
The Frenchman is 12th in driving accuracy, 10th in strokes gained tee-to-green and 26th in GIR this season and his solid long game can get him in the mix.
