Nexo Championship Prediction and Tips

The DP World Tour heads to north-east Scotland this week for the Nexo Championship, with Trump International Golf Links the venue for the third edition of this tournament.

Much to the delight of the crowds, last year saw a home winner, with Grant Forrest back to defend the title he won 12 months ago.

Former Masters winner Patrick Reed has also been confirmed in this week’s field, which has 3,500 Race to Dubai points up for grabs.

Nexo Championship Tips Summary

Best Bet - Jakob Skov Olesen to win and each way @ 16/1
Alternative Bet - Andy Sullivan to win and each way @ 30/1
Alternative Bet - Richard Sterne to win and each way @ 90/1

Nexo Championship Prediction

Best Bet: Jakob Skov Olesen to win and each way @ 16/1

He may be still looking for his first DP World Tour tournament success, but Jakob Skov Olesen has had a good season to date.

The Dane is currently inside the top 20 of the Race to Dubai standings, having missed just three cuts all year.

Olesen goes into this week’s event off the back of two top-10 finishes, with a tied-ninth spot at the Danish Championship following on from a share of sixth position at the Corales Puntacana Championship.

The 27-year-old, who is ranked 21st for average putts per round, will also have happy memories of this tournament last year.

Olesen finished in a tie for third in 2025, on three-under-par, despite carding three sevens across the four rounds in Aberdeen.

He has moved up 125 places in the world rankings in the last 12 months, a strong indication that the Dane is getting ever closer to lifting his first title.

Alternative Bet: Andy Sullivan to win and each way @ 30/1

It’s six years since Andy Sullivan last won on the DP World Tour, but he’s another golfer on an upward trajectory.

The Englishman is ninth in the Race to Dubai standings having collected two top-three finishes in 2026, while also finishing inside the top 30 in four other events.

Sullivan comes into this week’s tournament off the back of a missed cut at the Danish Championship, but rounds of 71 and 72 were hardly disastrous.

The man from Warwickshire, who has a top-30 Open Championship finish to his name, has plenty of links golf experience under his belt.

Three sub-70 rounds at this year’s Scottish Open helped the 39-year-old to finish T30 at the Renaissance Club in July.

Sullivan was also inside the top 10 in this event last year, eventually finishing seven shots behind winner Forrest.

Alternative Bet: Richard Sterne to win and each way @ 90/1

Those seeking a big-priced winner in Aberdeen this week, might want to consider South Africa’s Richard Sterne.

The seven-time DP World Tour winner is seeking his second title of 2026, having secured top spot at the Soudal Open back in May.

Sterne has moved back inside the world’s top-150 players and will feel he can learn a lot from last year’s showing at Trump International Golf Links.

The former world number 29 - ranked 20th for Driving Accuracy this year - finished T10 in 2025, having led after day one following an opening 67.

Sterne’s second-round 69 in Denmark last week was impressive and although it was followed by rounds of 73 and 75 across the weekend, this course should be better suited to the 44-year-old’s game.
