The DP World Tour moves from Austria to the Netherlands for this week's latest offering, the KLM Open, which will be played at The International for the third year in a row and fourth time in total.
First staged at this course in 2019, this venue in Amsterdam returned to the calendar for the 2024 and 2025 editions and a strong field, headlined by 18/1 chances Angel Ayora and Jayden Schaper, will be in attendance.
Defending champion Connor Syme is 100/1 to become the first player to successfully retain the title since Bob Byman in 1978, the same price as Frenchman Romain Langasque.
Best Bet - Daniel Hillier to win and each-way @ 20/1
Alternative Bet - Ewen Ferguson to win and each-way @ 25/1
Alternative Bet - Nathan Kimsey to win and each-way @ 30/1
Best Bet: Daniel Hillier to win and each-way @ 20/1
Co-designed by Ian Woosnam and Belgian design firm Mastergolf, The International is a linksy track so any strong links form and solid performances in the desert is worth considering.
Precision and a solid short game are two key areas to success and this should play into the hands of Daniel Hillier, who could have claimed the spoils at the Austrian Alpine Open on Sunday had it not been for a cold putter.
The flat stick being so cold is a rarity for the 27-year-old New Zealander, who is in the top 20 for strokes gained putting and putts per greens in regulation, but he still managed to eke out a tied-seventh finish.
Ranking 16th in strokes gained tee to green and sixth for both approach and greens in regulation, Hillier looks to have the skillset required to negotiate his way around this tricky test.
It is also worth noting Hillier's best Major finish was tied-19th at the 2024 Open Championship, which was played at Royal Troon GC, while his desert form this year is also strong with a runners-up spot at the Dubai Invitational and a tied-fourth at the Bahrain Championship.
Alternative Bet: Ewen Ferguson to win and each-way @ 25/1
Scotland's Syme took home the title last year as his compatriot Ewen Ferguson ended up in a share of fourth place, but it could be the turn of the latter to claim the spoils on his Amsterdam return.
Ferguson has had some solid results of late, posting a tied-sixth effort at the Indian Open, a top five at the Turkish Airlines Open and a T17 at last week's Alpine Open.
The three-time DP World Tour winner is 20th in driving accuracy and 10th in greens in regulation, evidence of his strong tee-to-green game, and he knows all about links golf having grown up in Scotland.
Ferguson, who was tied-22nd at the 2024 Open, won his maiden DPWT title at the 2022 Qatar Masters and his affinity for desert golf should prove advantageous.
Alternative Bet: Nathan Kimsey to win and each-way @ 30/1
Nathan Kimsey secured a spot at the US Open after winning the qualifying section at Walton Heath GC and that performance appears to have given him an understandable confidence boost.
The Englishman has since finished tied-eighth at the Soudal Open and tied-17th at the Alpine Open, where his superb tee-to-green game has helped him deliver two positive results.
Again, a cold putter is the club stopping the 33-year-old from breaking his DP World Tour duck, but he didn't mind the greens at The International last year when he grabbed a share of 13th position.
With Kimsey in the top 10 for both driving accuracy and greens in regulation, he clearly has the long game to cope with this course and any improvement with the putter should see him in contention.
The KLM Open was founded in 1912 and this will be the 106th edition.
The International in Badhoevedorp, Amsterdam, will host for the fourth time, having done so in 2019, 2024 & 2025.
This is a par 71 measuring 6,914 yards, with nine par-fours, four par-fives and five par-threes.
Sergio García won the event seven years ago, while Guido Migliozzi triumphed two years ago and Connor Syme claimed the spoils last year.
The winning score for the last two years has been -11, with Migliozzi requiring a play-off to lift the trophy.
Joost Luiten, Darius van Driel and Mike Toorop are three of the home favourites in the field.
