After a mini-break following the US Open at Oakmont Country Club, the DP World Tour returns this week with the 82nd edition of the Italian Open.
Having been played at Adriatic Golf Club Cervia in Ravenna last year, the tournament moves to Argentario Golf Club in Tuscany for the 2025 edition in what will be the first DP World Tour event the course has staged.
A par-71 measuring 6,857 yards, this layout is one that demands solid course management and a strong short game, with scrambling and putting likely to be two key areas to success.
Jordan Smith has been installed as the 20/1 favourite, ahead of 22/1 Ewen Ferguson and the three 25/1 shots of Francesco Laporta, Marco Penge and Jayden Schaper.

Best Bet: John Parry to win and each-way @ 35/1
John Parry ended a 14-year wait for a second DP World Tour title when landing the Mauritius Open in December last year and he came close to adding a third trophy to his collection after filling the runners-up spot at the Magical Kenya Open in February.
The 38-year-old Englishman's form dropped since that near miss, with a tie for 25th his best effort from his next six starts, but he looked somewhere close to his best when clinching a share of fourth at the Soudal Open two outings ago.
One advantage Parry has on several players in this field is course knowledge, as he triumphed at this venue in September last year in the Italian Challenge Open.
The world number 109 took to the 'linksy' style course well and he looks capable of putting in a bold challenge for glory this week.

Alternative Bet: Shaun Norris to win and each-way @ 50/1
A solid short game looks like it will be required this week and Shaun Norris has been excellent in that department this season, as he leads in strokes gained putting and putts per round.
Ranking in the top five for putts per green in regulation and on putts, the South African is also second in strokes gained around the green, fifth in scrambling and 19th in sand saves.
The 43-year-old won the Alfred Dunhill Championship at the end of December, his second DP World Tour success, while his results on this circuit since read T6-T16-T9-T2-T15.
Norris has been playing regularly on the Japan Golf Tour of late and he won the Hana Bank Invitational last time out, beating Yusuke Sakamoto in a play-off.
Full of confidence and striking the ball crisply, Norris could be in for another positive week.
