The Italian Open will start on Thursday 26th July, with the first round expected to start at 06:00 BST, running through until Sunday 29th July,
This is the first time the tournament has been played at Argentario Golf Club, which is a 6,857-yard, par-71 course that is exposed to winds due to its coastal location.
It was opened in 2006 and has hosted contests on both the Senior and Challenge Tours.
Germany’s Marcel Siem will be looking to defend the title he won at Adriatic Golf Club last year when he saw off Northern Ireland’s Tom McKibbin in a play-off.
Francesco Molinari, who has won the tournament twice, has been the only Italian victor since 1980 and none of the last 10 Italian Opens have been settled by a winning margin greater than one shot.
England’s Jordan Smith heads the market despite having just one top-10 finish in eight Italian Opens.
He is followed by Ewen Ferguson who posted top-five finishes in his last two tournaments, the KLM Open and the Soudal Open, while the home challenge is set to be led by Francesco Laporta.
