Enhance Anting Golf Club in Shanghai stages the China Open for the first time this week and there looks to be an open feel about the DP World Tour event ahead of Thursday's opening round.
A different venue always brings about a sense of intrigue and given this field doesn't look to be the strongest, with this a co-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and China Tour, there is plenty of value to be had.
Spaniard Adrian Otaegui won last year's event, beating Guido Migliozzi by one shot at Hidden Grace Golf Club, and the 32-year-old is 80/1 to become the first player to successfully defend the title.
Joost Luiten to win and each-way - 33/1
There is always a sense of the unknown when heading to a new course and that is certainly reflected in the betting, with Haotong Li, Keita Nakajima, Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and Wenyi Ding installed as the 16/1 favourites.
What Enhance Anting Golf Club looks like it will demand is accuracy, given the strategic bunkers that protect the greens and numerous water hazards that line fairways and surround the putting surfaces.
Fescue grasses are also best avoided if a player doesn't want to rack up a big number and based on this thinking, the headline nod goes to Dutchman Joost Luiten to claim the spoils.
The 39-year-old is vastly experienced, winning six times on the DP World Tour and once ranked in the top 30 of the world, and he arrives in solid form with a third-placed effort at the Indian Open last time out.
Luiten, who was also tied-11th at the South African Open Championship this year, is 14th in driving accuracy, fourth in greens in regulation and third in strokes gained for both approach and tee-to-green on the DP circuit this season.
If the putter behaves this week, a first victory since the 2018 Oman Open could be the cards for Luiten.
Brandon Stone to win and each-way - 40/1
Another player worth considering this week is South African Brandon Stone, a powerful hitter that won on the European circuit for the third time in 2018 when capturing the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open.
After a couple of tough years, the 31-year-old is starting to rediscover his best form and he was tied-sixth at the Indian Open last time out, adding to his top-20 finishes at the Singapore Classic and South African Open Championship this year.
While Stone's driving accuracy is down, the fact this course is an open parkland should give him a little more room for error off the tee and if he can find the runway then his razor-sharp irons, which have him ranked 10th in greens in regulation, should help him contend.
The world number 241 is also sixth for strokes gained in both approach and tee-to-green and, a similar to Luiten story, if the putter warms up then he will be in the mix.
Kazuma Kobori to win and each-way - 70/1
The third and final selection goes to Japan-born Kazuma Kobori, who represents New Zealand and looks to be a player with a bright future ahead of him.
A four-time PGA Tour of Australasia winner, the 23-year-old has been making steady progress on the DP World Tour and he recorded his best finish of the year when T9 at the Singapore Classic last time out.
Kobori has been excellent with the driver, ranking fourth in driving accuracy, and a greens in regulation standing of 39th shows the approach play has been in decent shape.
It is the short game that also impressed for the world number 334, who is 12th in scrambling and 16th in strokes gained putting and those qualities on and around the greens should aid his cause.
