The best bet at the 2024 China Open could prove to be Northern Ireland's Tom McKibbin, who has quickly developed into a star of the DP World Tour and looks destined for bigger and better things in the near future.

This course has tended to favour longer drivers and McKibbin fits firmly into that bracket, putting his power to use to make the cut in all but one of his last eight events, finishing in the top 25 of them all, with three top ten finishes. His most recent effort coming at the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan on Sunday, where he finished seventh.

Haotong Li - 22/1

Haotong Li won this title in 2016 at Topwin Golf Club and the Chinese player could delight the home crowds again by doubling up at Hidden Grace.

Li has responded after a spell in the wilderness, finishing 18th in Japan last time out, and he has form at this course having finished a runner-up in the 2015 Shenzhen International and fourth in this event when it was last played on the DP World Tour in 2019.

Alexander Levy - 35/1

One former champion who looks worth a punt is Alexander Levy.

The French five-time DP World Tour winner has rediscovered his self-belief on the Challenge Tour, posting four consecutive top-10 finishes, and he has a superb course record having won the China Open in 2014 before chalking up results of 25-4-8 in the three Shenzhen Internationals.
