The Abu Dhabi Championship is the penultimate event on the DP World Tour this season and a host of superstars have gathered at Yas Links.
Thorbjorn Olesen is among those battling to finish in the top ten of the DP World Tour's Race to Dubai Rankings, therefore securing a PGA Tour card for next season.
Rory McIlroy headlines the field, seeking to win the Race to Dubai for a sixth time.
Thriston Lawrence and Rasmus Hojgaard are McIlroy's closest pursuers in the Race to Dubai, while his Ryder Cup team-mates Tyrrell Hatton and Tommy Fleetwood are also in attendance in Abu Dhabi in a field which comprises the top 70 in the Race to Dubai standings.
The top 50 will progress to next week's season-ending DP World Tour Championship.
Thorbjorn Olesen to win and each-way - 25/1
Dubai resident Thorbjorn Olesen has had a short journey to Yas Links for the Abu Dhabi Championship and the Dane should be fresh and well prepared for Thursday's start.
Olesen relishes events in the Middle East and his last DP World Tour victory came with a six-shot romp in the Ras al Khaimah Championship at the end of January.
He came close to winning the Abu Dhabi Championship in 2013, losing by a shot, and his record in this region is magnificent.
He has also excelled on courses designed by Kyle Phillips, who created Yas Links. Olesen's maiden DPWT victory came at Verdura - another Phillips design.
The man known as Thunderbear has been in superb form, finishing 12th in the Irish Open, 12th in the Dunhill Links, second in the French Open and seventh in the Andalucia Masters. A ninth DPWT title could be coming on Sunday.
Grant Forrest to win and each-way - 125/1
The next fortnight is going to be a momentous one for Grant Forrest whatever happens on the golf course. The 31-year-old Scot is due to become a father on the weekend of the DP World Tour Championship and he may start that role as a rich man.
Bumper pay cheques are up for grabs in the Abu Dhabi Championship and the DP World Tour Championship and Forrest is playing well enough to claim two juicy ones.
He finished fifth in the Irish Open in the middle of September, then third in the Spanish Open.
Forrest finished tenth at Yas Links in last year's Abu Dhabi Championship and this links master looks a big price to get into the mix again.
David Ravetto to win and each-way - 350/1
Form on Kyle Phillips designed courses is worth noting this week and David Ravetto may be worth following at massive odds given he won on a Phillips creation in August.
Ravetto won the Czech Masters by four shots at PGA National Oaks Prague, which opened in 2020.
Since fourth place in the Danish Golf Championship at the end of August, Ravetto has been struggling to find top gear, but he may fall in love with Yas Links.
