Keith Deller MBE provides his best bets for Thursday night's last 16 showdown between Gary Anderson and Stephen Bunting at the Grand Slam of Darts.
Gary Anderson v Stephen Bunting
Thursday 14th November (22:15)
Gary Anderson has been one of the world's best darts players this year and heads in to this contest off the back of three consecutive group stage wins.
That said, despite losing one of his three games in the group stage, you could argue that Stephen Bunting's progression to this stage has been more impressive, finishing second in a group littered with talent.
Both players will have to be at their best to get over the line, and that's why I can see over 18.5 180s landing at a huge price of 18/1.
Also, with the quality on show, I would expect there to be 3+ total 100+ checkouts in this one, coming in at 5/4.
In a best-of-19 leg contest, it is safe to assume that there will be ample opportunity for both players to take out some big scores, and that is why I am backing a 170 finish at a good price of 6/1.
While the odds are against Bunting in this match, I believe he will gain a narrow victory on Thursday night.
Odds were correct at the time of writing.
