Rasmus "caPs" Winther, mid laner for G2 Esports, sees no reason why his side cannot push for League of Legends World Championship glory this season.
In their next match at the LEC Spring, G2 Esports can be backed at 4/11 to beat Team BDS, who are available at 2/1 to win.
G2 Esports enjoyed a decent third week in the LEC Spring, recording wins against Misfits Gaming and Fnatic to take their win-loss record to 5-2 in the division and "CaPs" feels confidence was one of their main issues last year.
Only Rogue, who have a 100 per cent winning record, are ahead of them in the standings, and they look set for a playoff berth.
Both of G2's defeats in the LEC Spring 2022 came in the opening week when they were light on personnel but, since the group have returned to all play with one another, "caPs" believes performances have improved.
And although they failed to qualify for the group stage of last year's World Championship, mid laner "caPs", who has previously played for Inspire Esports and Fnatic, has backed his team to go all the way this year after regaining their confidence.
Speaking in an interview with Inven Global, "caPs" said: "I think confidence is a huge thing, especially in Esports, at least for me.
"I've always been very confident in myself - I've mentioned it before but some people might say I'm delusional when I say 'I want to win Worlds'.
"But I'm very confident in myself and my teammates and I just don't see why we shouldn't be able to do it. I think confidence was lagging last year - the fact that maybe my teammates also had their own issues made it so that we just completely underperformed."
