The first undisputed heavyweight champion in almost a quarter of a century will be crowned on 17th February 2024 with Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk finally agreeing a deal to fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
A contest long in the making, Britain's Tyson Fury will put his WBC heavyweight title on the line against Ukrainian Oleksandr Uysk, who currently holds the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and the Ring magazine belts.
It is a showdown between two undefeated boxers, with the 6ft 9in 'Gypsy King' Fury pitted against 6ft 3in slick southpaw Usyk in what is destined to be a fight for the ages.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of the history-making undisputed clash...
The biggest fight in boxing will take place on Saturday 17th February 2024.
The bout was rumoured to be set for December 23rd, however, Fury reportedly wanted more time after his controversial points victory over MMA star Francis Ngannou in late October.
The bout is likely to get underway at around 23:00 UK time, although it could be later than that dependent upon the length of the undercard bouts.
Fury v Usyk will take place at the Kingdom Arena as part of Riyadh season in Saudi Arabia.
The fight will be broadcast on TNT Sports Box Office, formerly BT Sport, though pricing has not yet been announced.
Yes, and plenty of them!
Providing the bout does go ahead, then all four of Usyk's WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts will be on the line, along with Fury's WBC and The Ring champion straps.
Tyson Fury will take to the ring as the odds-on favourite having been installed at 4/7, with his Ukrainian opponent, who has yet to be beaten himself, priced at 11/8.
34-0-1 (24 KOs)
Fury turned professional in 2008, beating Bela Gyongyosi via a first-round TKO in Nottingham. He has never lost a professional fight and currently holds a 34-1-0 record, having drawn his first meeting with Deontay Wilder in 2018.
The 34-year-old, who was inactive between November 2015 and June 2018 as he battled with mental health issues, has picked up 24 victories via KO or TKO, with just 11 of his trips to the ring going the distance.
Since joining SugarHill Steward's team, Fury has won all five of his bouts.
21-0-0 (14 KOs)
Usyk is a year older than Fury, but he turned professional much later in life after winning gold at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
The Ukrainian made his professional debut in Kyiv in 2013, beating Felipe Romero by TKO in the fifth round, and he became the interim WBO cruiserweight champion in just his fifth fight.
He unified the cruiserweight division courtesy of a unanimous decision victory over Murat Gassiev in 2018 before defending his belts against Tony Bellew later that year.
A move up to the heavyweight division came in 2019 as he made easy work of Chazz Witherspoon prior to seeing off Chisora.
In just his third fight at heavyweight, Usyk outclassed Joshua to win the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts, and he repeated that feat in August 2022 before a controversial victory over Daniel Dubois took his overall record to 21-0, with 14 victories via KO or TKO and seven courtesy of a decision.
