FURIA has formally said its goodbye to Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo as he prepares to embark on a new journey in 2022.
The 22-year-old will make his departure from the Brazilian organization following a four-year run.
Most have him linked to a move to pair up with Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's last dance project with a roster that also includes Fernando "fer" Alvarenga, Lincoln "fnx" Lau, and Ricardo "boltz" Prass.
The five players have already been seen streaming matches together and are in reported talks to possibly join Imperial. The organization would have to buy out FalleN, boltz, and VINI to create the line-up, and it already looks like two pieces are locked in after FalleN and VINI have departed Liquid and FURIA respectively.
VINI spent four years in FURA, initially joining the organization's academy team before being called up to the main roster alongside Kaike "KSCERTAO" Cerato.
The team made moves in the world rankings following a move to North America in 2018, with VINI playing three Majors with the organization. They also won three titles in that span.
The team's coach left a nice message and thanked VINI for his four good years with the organization.
"You improved along with FURIA and helped us to reach where we are now," head coach Nicholas "guerri" Nogueira said in a heartfelt video recapping the 22-year-old's time on the team. "Without you none of this would be possible, and you know that.
