World number one Iga Swiatek is the odds-on favourite to win the French Open for the third consecutive year in 2024.

After dominating on clay since securing her first title in 2020, Swiatek is very much the player to beat in the second Grand Slam of the season, the Polish star will face Jasmine Paolini in the final on Saturday.
The top seed's chances of success were boosted after Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka and 2022 Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina were both beaten at the quarter-final stage.
Swiatek, the world number one, has been imperious on the Paris clay courts for the past few years and will look to claim a sensational third title in three years this weekend.
Paolini, the 12th seed in Paris, is breaking new ground in reaching her first ever Grand Slam final, with her previous best a third round exit at the Australian Open this year.
Most notably, Paolini took the scalp of world number four and Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina in the last eight, before a routine victory over Mirra Andreeva in the semi-final.
