Formula 1: Spanish Grand Prix previous winners

Check out the full list of previous winners of Formula 1's Spanish Grand Prix since the inaugural race in 1968.

Formula 1

The Spanish Grand Prix is one of the staples of the F1 calendar and a long term venue for the sport. The race has more than 50 years of history behind it before the introduction of F1, with the first official race won by Carlos de Salamanca back in 1913, who was racing for British firm Rolls-Royce.

First contested in 1968, the race took place at a number of tracks in the early years of Formula One before settling at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from the early 1990s to the present day.

F1 legend Michael Schumacher and Britain's Lewis Hamilton are tied for the most wins at the Spanish Grand Prix, both winning six times at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
