Former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Angus Gunn is set to complete a move to MLS side San Jose Earthquakes.
Gunn joined Forest on a one-year deal last summer following the expiration of his contract at Norwich City.
He was limited to one substitute appearance in the Premier League as he failed to displace regular goalkeeper Matz Sels.
Gunn was subsequently released by the club at the end of the campaign and he had been linked with various clubs.
However, it is San Jose Earthquakes who have won the race, with journalist Pete O'Rourke reporting that he has agreed a four-year contract.
Gunn became the number one at Carrow Road prior to his move to the City Ground but he has spent a considerable amount of his career as a back-up option.
Despite his lack of gametime, Gunn was still named in Scotland's 2026 World Cup squad and he was given the nod as Steve Clarke's number one goalkeeper.
He kept a clean sheet in Scotland's 1-0 victory over a spirited Haiti side but he was also part of the team that suffered defeats to Morocco and Brazil as they bowed out of the tournament.
Clarke's successor should now have the benefit of selecting a goalkeeper who should be able to keep hold of the number one jersey at his new club.
At 30 years of age, Gunn still has plenty to offer on the international stage but his first priority will be to excel for his new club across the Atlantic.
