Burnley are looking to wrap up a late loan deal for Crystal Palace midfielder Will Hughes.
Journalist Alan Nixon has reported Burnley's interest in the experienced Premier League player.
Hughes has found himself down the pecking order at Selhurst Park and there is a sense that the Eagles would be happy to sanction a season-long loan.
The 31-year-old initially made a name for himself at boyhood club Derby County in the Championship.
Hughes made a total of 187 appearances for the club across just over five years, before Watford swooped to provide Premier League football.
He was a key part of the team at Vicarage Road until leaving for Palace in the summer of 2021.
Hughes has been part of the Eagles squad which has won the FA Cup and UEFA Conference League in recent times, but the offer of first-team football is likely to be too good to turn down this season.
