Omari Kellyman has completed a permanent move to Ligue 1 side Strasbourg.
The 20-year-old has become the latest player to move between the BlueCo clubs, with Valentin Barco already having gone in the opposite direction this summer.
Kellyman departs Chelsea having never made a competitive appearance for the Blues, with his only taste of first-team football at the club coming during their pre-season tour this summer.
Reports claim Chelsea have inserted both sell-on and buy-back clauses in the deal, with multiple Championship clubs said to have been interested in signing him this summer.
Kellyman joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in the summer of 2024 in a deal worth a reported £19million.
Shortly after arriving in West London however, the attacking midfielder suffered a serious hamstring injury that ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.
After returning from injury Kellyman - who has represented both England and Northern Ireland at youth level - found himself in danger of being lost in the shuffle in Chelsea's bloated squad.
He subsequently joined League One Cardiff City on a season-long loan last summer and quickly offered a timely reminder of his talents.
Kellyman made 42 appearances for the Bluebirds in all competitions and scored 11 goals as Brian Barry-Murphy's side finished second to secure promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking.
Cardiff were reportedly pushing to bring Kellyman back to South Wales this summer but a move ultimately did not materialise and he will now ply his trade in Ligue 1.
