Wrexham have taken 10 points from their first four matches in League One and they are strong favourites to claim a home win over Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
Wrexham-Wrexham Half Time/Full Time - 6/5
After winning back-to-back promotions from the National League and League Two, Wrexham have made a strong start to their 2024/25 campaign in League One.
The Red Dragons have won three and drawn one of their first four matches, putting them joint-top of the table alongside fellow promoted club Stockport and antepost title favourites Birmingham.
Phil Parkinson's men have a great chance of picking up another three points at home to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and they should be backed to be leading at half-time and full-time.
Wrexham have made fast starts to all three of their league victories this season. On the opening day, goals from Max Cleworth and Jack Marriott put them 2-0 up inside half an hour in their 3-2 home win over Wycombe.
They also led 2-0 at the break against Reading at the Racecourse Ground, going on to win 3-0, and both of their goals in last weekend's 2-0 victory at Peterborough came in the first half.
Parkinson's side lost 4-2 away to Sheffield United in the EFL Cup first round but Will Boyle had given them a 29th-minute lead and it may not take them long to break through against Shrewsbury.
The Shrews beat Leyton Orient 3-0 at home last time out but two of their goals came in the final 10 minutes of a game in which they had just 27 percent of possession.
They had lost their three previous league fixtures this season, including a 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield, whose goal came in the 20th minute on their most recent away trip.
Jack Marriott to be first goalscorer - 4/1
Wrexham striker Jack Marriott enjoyed the perfect start to the new campaign, scoring a Goal of the Season contender just 29 minutes into the opening game against Wycombe.
Marriott's brilliant volley capped a flowing team move and he is worth backing to break the deadlock against Shrewsbury.
He averages two shots per game in the league, more than any other Wrexham player, and opened the scoring against his former club Peterborough last weekend.
Marriott knows he can deliver the goods at this level, having won the League One Golden Boot with Posh in 2017/18, and he may well continue his strong start to the campaign on Saturday.
Under 10 corners - 11/10
Only eight corners were taken when Wrexham won 1-0 at Shrewsbury in last season's FA Cup third round and backing under 10 flag-kicks is an appealing bet in Saturday's League One clash.
The Shrews may struggle to contribute much to the tally, having had one corner at Stevenage on the opening day, three in the 4-1 home defeat to Peterborough, two at Huddersfield and one in last weekend's home win over Orient.
Wrexham's first two games, against Wycombe and Bolton, produced 12 and 16 corners, but their last home fixture against Reading yielded only five, three of which were for the visitors.
There were just seven corners in the Red Dragons' win at Peterborough last time out and the tally may fall short of double figures when they take on a cautious Shrewsbury side.
