A place in the EFL Trophy final awaits for either Wrexham or Peterborough United, who are set to do battle at SToK Cae Ras in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
Wrexham are enjoying their best run in the competition since they lifted the trophy for the only time in their history in 2005, while Peterborough are the defending champions after beating Wycombe Wanderers in last season's final.
With Birmingham City having already booked their place in the final on 13th April by beating Bradford City in last week's first semi-final, the stage is now set for one of these two sides to join them at Wembley.
Double Chance - Draw or Peterborough - 1/1
It will be interesting to see what kind of teams these two sides field on Wednesday night, as although both will be desperate to make it to Wembley, their priorities for the remainder of the season surely lie elsewhere.
For Wrexham, they are battling to add to their Hollywood fairy tale by securing a third successive promotion, with Sunday's hard-fought win at Mansfield Town leaving them just three points behind second-placed Wycombe in League One.
In the same division, Peterborough are fighting to preserve their third-tier status as they sit just two points above the relegation zone, but they did record a much-needed 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town last time out.
That ended a nine-game winless run on their travels for Darren Ferguson's side and it could be a timely victory ahead of this trip to North Wales.
There are reasons for Peterborough to be feeling optimistic, not least as they have had an extra day to prepare for this game with Wrexham having played on Sunday.
The Posh also have a fabulous record in the EFL Trophy, winning each of their last 11 matches in the competition, including last season's final at Wembley.
Wrexham, who have been so strong on home soil for much of the campaign, have been wobbling on their own patch of late, winning only one of their last four at SToK Cae Ras, a run that includes defeats to both Stevenage and Leyton Orient.
The Red Dragons have already done the double over Peterborough this season, following up a 2-0 success at the Weston Homes Stadium with a 1-0 home triumph at the turn of the year, but with their home record a little shakier than it once was and less time to prepare for this game, they may well come unstuck.
There is certainly value to be had in siding with Peterborough to, at the very least, avoid defeat after 90 minutes, but whether that is enough to take them to Wembley for the second season in a row remains to be seen.
Under 2.5 goals - 43/40
At a glance, it is easy to suggest that this is a match that should feature plenty of goalmouth action, with Wrexham having scored more home goals than any team in League One this season, while Peterborough hold the joint-worst defensive record in the division, while their tally of 48 goals scored is only bettered by five teams.
However, strip it back a little further and there is reason to believe Wednesday's contest may be low scoring.
Three of Wrexham's last five home matches have featured a maximum of two goals, while three of their previous four games in this competition have also gone under the 2.5 goal mark.
Peterborough showed a new-found defensive resilience to edge to a 1-0 win at Huddersfield on Saturday and they will likely adopt a similarly stifling approach in this one.
The two league meetings between these sides this season were hardly thrillers, with just three goals scored in total, and that was before throwing into the mix that this is a cup semi-final that should feature plenty of tension.
Tense matches rarely lead to goalfests, so do not expect the net to bulge too often in North Wales.
Abraham Odoh to score at any time - 7/1
Winger Abraham Odoh has been in and out of the Peterborough side in League One this season, with only nine of his 24 appearances in that competition coming from the off, but he has been a regular in their EFL Trophy team.
Odoh has started all six of his side's matches in this competition and it is where he has showcased his best form, scoring four goals, including an important equaliser in their eventual comeback quarter-final success over Cheltenham Town.
The 24-year-old, a summer recruit from Harrogate Town, has only been outscored by two players in this season's EFL Trophy, Bolton Wanderers' Aaron Collins and Bez Lubala of Wycombe, so at odds of 7/1 to net any time on Wednesday, he has to provide some value.
