Both Wrexham and Mansfield have won 20 of their 39 League Two matches this season but the Stags have the best attacking and defensive records in the division, scoring 79 goals and conceding only 37.

There is nothing to split the clubs on their overall head-to-head record in the league as both teams have claimed 28 victories and 19 of their meetings have ended in draws.

October's League Two clash at Field Mill, their first meeting in more than 10 years, finished 0-0 although Mansfield had 20 shots to Wrexham's eight and their top scorer Davis Keillor-Dunn was denied by the woodwork.

The title rivals met again in Nottinghamshire in November's FA Cup first-round tie which Wrexham won 2-1 thanks to goals from Sam Dalby and Paul Mullin.

Wrexham team news

George Evans and James Jones are expected to miss out again but Thomas O'Connor and Jack Marriott returned to the squad for last weekend's win at Grimsby.

Experienced midfielder James McClean completed his two-match ban in that fixture so he will be available on Friday.

Mansfield team news

The Stags have some injury concerns in defence as Baily Cargill will have a scan on his knee injury while George Williams and Callum Johnson are also doubtful.

In-form forward Will Swan, who has scored seven goals in his last nine league appearances, should start up front alongside veteran Lucas Akins.
