A huge League One clash takes place at the Racecourse Ground on Tuesday when Wrexham take on Barnsley.
The Red Dragons are second in League One and have gathered 25 points from a possible 27 at home, where they are unbeaten in 15 matches.
However, they will have plenty of respect for Barnsley, who are sixth in the table despite going three league matches without a victory.
Barnsley draw no bet - 11/10
Barnsley were knocked out of the FA Cup on Saturday, drawing 0-0 at home to Bristol Rovers and losing 4-3 on penalties, but they can deliver an immediate response by defeating Wrexham and bringing an end to the Welsh side’s unbeaten home record.
A lot of visiting teams have crumbled at the Racecourse Ground where Wrexham have enjoyed playing in front of their passionate supporters.
But Barnsley are made of sterner stuff with five of their seven league wins coming on their travels.
The Tykes have been delivering a lot of dominant performances without piling up the points tally they feel they deserve.
And their misfortune continued at the weekend when they were taken to an FA Cup penalty shootout by Bristol Rovers despite winning the shot count 30 to six.
Barnsley are top of the third tier shot statistics with 246 yet they sit joint fifth in terms of goals scored (26).
However, they have some talented attacking players and it should be a matter of time before their luck turns.
While Barnsley’s results have not kept pace with their performance indicators, Wrexham’s have been better than the underlying statistics suggest that they should have been.
The Red Dragons have scored 24 goals compared to an XG of 20 and conceded 11 despite an XG against of 23.4.
To an extent they have benefitted from the poor finishing of opposition teams although goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo must also take huge credit for making 45 saves at an average of 3.21 per league game.
Okonkwo has been sidelined with a broken wrist since early November and his deputy, Callum Burton, has got off to a solid enough start with two clean sheets in three league games.
However, Burton does not have the same presence as Okonkwo and he could be beaten by Barnsley, who look overpriced to register a momentous away win.
Davis Keillor-Dunn to score at any time - 11/4
Barnsley have a lot of exciting attacking players but the pick of the bunch could be attacking midfielder Davis Keillor-Dunn, who has a touch of class and the potential to play at a higher level.
Keillor-Dunn was a late summer signing from Mansfield where he played a massive role in their promotion from League Two.
The 27-year-old netted 22 league goals for the Stags last term and is off to a solid start for Barnsley with five goals across all competitions.
He has the ability to find space where others cannot and could be the key to opening up a physically strong Wrexham defence.
Over 3.5 goals - 2/1
Barnsley tend to take a positive approach into all of their matches and their attitude can contribute to a high-scoring outcome.
Tykes manager Darrell Clarke likes to attack and his approach can backfire on occasions, as was the case when Barnsley lost 7-0 at Manchester United in the EFL Cup third round.
Barnsley were involved in an exciting 2-2 draw at home to Reading in their last League One encounter and the possibility for another goal-fest is strong enough to warrant a wager on over 3.5 goals.
