Wolves v Fulham: Tips, Predictions and Odds

Fulham will hope to move above Wolves and into the top half of the Premier League when the two teams meet on Saturday at Molineux.

The Cottagers are only two places and three points behind Gary O'Neil's side, and while they come into the game on the back of a win, their hosts were well beaten by Newcastle United.

While both sides are in mid-table, European football is still a possibility and neither side will be giving anything away in what should be a close battle.

Wolves v Fulham betting tips and predictions

Draw - 12/5

These two sides last met in November, with Fulham running out 3-2 winners in the end at Craven Cottage.

Wolves manager O'Neil was outraged at the penalty calls that went against his team, and he will be desperate for revenge this time around.

The issue this week is injuries, with O'Neil's side lacking options in the final third to allow them to adapt their counter-attacking tactics.

Goalkeeper Jose Sa and winger Pedro Neto were replaced during the Newcastle game due to injury, but both are yet to be ruled out by the medical staff for this weekend's match. However, Hwang Hee-chan and Matheus Cunha remain sidelined, and the pair have scored 19 of the club's goals this season.

Wolves have won three of their last four, while they have only lost three of their previous 13 matches at home in all competitions.

They will be tough to break down, while Fulham have not pulled up any trees on the road.

The Cottagers have only lost one of their last six, and they have won three of their previous four, but away from home they have tasted victory twice in 10 fixtures.

They are also known for their counter-attacking skills, and there's every chance these two sides just cancel each other out at Molineux.

Under 2.5 goals - 19/20

Goals have been nearly guaranteed in almost every Premier League match this season, but Saturday's encounter between Wolves and Fulham may not be one for the neutral.

Wolves' last two games have ended 1-0 at home, and without their main strikers, they will need to tighten up at the back in order to make progress.

Fulham may have scored five goals in their last two Premier League games, but that is a bit of an anomaly. Away from the banks of the River Thames, Marco Silva's side have failed to score in five of their previous ten matches on the road in the league, and it is hard to trust both teams ahead of kick-off.

While the first meeting finished 3-2, this fixture is usually a low-scoring affair. Eight of the last nine encounters featured fewer than 2.5 goals, and we should revert back to type for this encounter.

Over 4.5 yellow cards - 1/1

After a passionate first meeting, we could see another lively affair at Molineux on Saturday.

The manner of Wolves' defeat earlier this season will not be lost on their players, who will feel that they have been hard done by this year.

There were four yellow cards dished out at Craven Cottage in November, but this game could see even more.

Wolves have picked up the fifth-most yellow cards this season, collecting 66, while Fulham have collected 61, enough to put them joint-seventh in the standings for cautions.

It is fair to say that both teams could behave slightly better when it comes to discipline, and Fulham's Joao Palhinha has collected more yellow cards than any other player this season.

With both teams happy to play on the counter-attack, it would not be a shock to see both sides shut down any potential breakaways and there's always the chance of a fiery game when the two teams are so close in the table.
