Brighton are without a win in their last four games but a draw may be the best they can hope for when they travel to West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Seagulls have slipped to ninth but are only four points off fourth in a congested top half of the table.
West Ham, meanwhile, are 14th but followed up their vital 2-1 home win over Wolves with a decent point at Bournemouth on Monday.
Draw - 13/5
Brighton's hopes of fighting for a top-four place this season were being talked up when they stunned champions Manchester City last month and their claims were further enhanced when they subsequently battled to a narrow win at Bournemouth.
However, a winless run of four games, which has seen Fabian Hurzeler's side draw with Southampton and Leicester City and lose to Fulham and Crystal Palace, has tempered expectation levels.
They remain in touch of the top four, but the victory the visitors will be after at the start of the hectic Christmas period could elude them as they're taking on a Hammers outfit who have improved in recent games.
Julen Lopetegui remains under pressure at the London Stadium, but he achieved a necessary home victory over Wolves earlier this month and then his side secured a decent point against the Cherries last time out.
The Irons have only managed three league wins at home all season but after making a dismal start in front of their own fans - losing their first three - things have picked up since.
Ipswich Town and Manchester United left with nothing in October before a dull goalless draw with Everton followed. The 5-2 defeat to Arsenal was a low point, but Lopetegui's side dug in to see off Wolves when they needed it most.
A draw against Brighton this weekend would keep things ticking over and further suggest they are finally moving in the right direction.
Tomas Soucek to score anytime - 9/2
Tomas Soucek has been a reliable goalscorer for West Ham in his four years in the Premier League and he could be the man to help them get something against Brighton.
The midfielder has four goals so far this season, with his most recent strike coming against Wolves, and he is always a threat at set-pieces.
The Czech Republic international has racked up 13 shots in his last five appearances, with four of those being on target, and he could well be the value pick in the goalscorer market on Saturday.
Jarrod Bowen - Over 1.5 shots on target - 5/2
Jarrod Bowen may be slightly disappointed he's only hit four league goals this season as the England forward has struggled to find his best form consistently.
He was often frustrated on Monday against Bournemouth playing centrally as Lopetegui's team failed to deliver the service he required, but he may get more joy at home to Albion.
Despite only one goal in his last five appearances, Bowen has still been getting plenty of shots off in the final third, as the 27-year-old has had 16 in that period, with eight of those being on target.
Bowen has had at least two shots on target in three of those five games and it would not be too much of a surprise if he called the Albion keeper into action on at least two occasions.
