Tom Cleverley's Watford side have made a strong start to the season by winning all four games and they will get another chance to shine as Plymouth Argyle come to visit for a second-round EFL Cup clash.
The Hornets are one of only two Championship teams to start with three victories, while they put five past MK Dons in their League Cup opener earlier this month.
Plymouth knocked out League Two side Cheltenham Town in the last round, but manager Wayne Rooney is winless after three Championship games and watched his side go down to nine men against Queens Park Rangers over the weekend - though they did hold out for a point.
Watford v Plymouth Argyle will be shown live in the UK on Sky Sports+.
The game between Watford and Plymouth Argyle is scheduled for a 19:45 BST kick-off on Tuesday 27th August at Vicarage Road, Watford.
Traditionally Plymouth have done well in this fixture, with 32 wins compared to Watford's 20.
However, they haven't beaten the Hornets in any of their last four meetings, dating back to 2009.
They clashed twice in the Championship last season, playing out a scoreless draw at Vicarage Road in August and a 3-3 stalemate at Home Park back on New Year's Day.
