UEFA Champions League top goalscorer favourites

Harry Kane

Naturally amongst the pre-tournament favourites, Harry Kane cemented his place at the top of the standings with four goals on Matchweek 1 in Bayern Munich's 9-2 thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb.

Kane finished as joint-top scorer in last season's competition alongside Kylian Mbappe with eight goals. Already halfway to that total with more games in store this season, don't be surprised to see the ex-Tottenham man reach double figures.

Erling Haaland

Only one one goal from Manchester City's first two games, it feels like a matter of time before Erling Haaland explodes into this season's UEFA Champions League.

While Haaland will likely be rested for some more important fixtures, he should still see minutes against the likes of Sparta Prague, Feyenoord and Club Brugge all at home, with more goals a matter of when rather than if.

Kylian Mbappe

While Kylian Mbappe has yet to dominate the European scene like he has the international scene, he's still been an impressively consistent goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League.

The former PSG man scored 42 goals in 64 games, never managing less than four, albeit never reaching more than eight.

Much was expected of Mbappe following his move to Real Madrid, but his inauspicious start to life in the Spanish capital may mean there's more value in his rivals.
