Manchester United Women are seven points behind runaway leaders Chelsea in the Women’s Super League and they’ll be looking to at least keep the pace when they head to Tottenham Hotspur Women on Sunday.
The hosts sit in mid-table and need to put a run together if they are to mount their own challenge for a place in next season’s Champions League, with Spurs eight points behind third-placed Manchester City Women after 12 rounds of fixtures.
Manchester United Women to win and both teams to score - 6/5
Manchester United Women bounced back from their league cup defeat to rivals City by downing Brighton 3-0 in the last round of games and they should fancy their chances of making it five league wins in a row when they head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham are unbeaten in four in the league but they have lost two of their last three across all competitions. Robert Vilahamn’s team have a decent home record with four wins and two defeats from six games so far, but all of their wins have come against teams in the bottom five and they may find this strong United outfit a bit too much to cope with.
Goals haven’t been an issue for Spurs as they’ve hit 19 in 11 games and score on average just under two goals per game at home. United have conceded in three of their six trips in this competition and the hosts can at least register a consolation strike on Sunday.
Bethany England to score anytime - 15/4
With a home goal expected, it makes sense to cast an eye over the Tottenham players for a potential scorer as that is where the big prices are and at 15/4 Spurs hotshot Bethany England looks a great outside candidate.
The 30-year-old has an incredible strike rate in this competition with 79 goals in 116 games over the years and she has been in red hot form this term with seven goals in 12 games. England has scored five times in her last four games.
Only Manchester City sensation Khadija Shaw has scored more Super League goals than England this season and the Spurs star can add to her haul against United on Sunday.
Gabby George To Be Booked - 7/2
Gabby George has cemented her place in the United backline in her first full season with the club with a string of strong displays.
The former Everton full-back does tend to adopt a fairly aggressive approach, however, and has four bookings in 11 league appearances for the Red Devils.
George has picked up yellow cards in each of her last two outings, so at 7/2 she looks the standout option to be booked at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
