Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham betting tips and predictions

Draw or Fulham double chance - 11/10

All sides of Spurs have been witnessed over the past few weeks, leading to the conclusion that while there should be plenty of goals on Sunday, forecasting the winner of their shootout with Fulham might not be quite so straightforward.

At 7/10 Ange Postecoglou's team are expected to bolt up and Tottenham historically boast an excellent record against their London rivals.

But they suffered a rare defeat to the Cottagers in March - a 3-0 loss - having also lost on penalties to Marco Silva's men earlier in the season in the EFL Cup.

When you add to those results the fact that Silva's hugely improved team sit just a point behind Spurs in the Premier League, you get a sense this could turn into a well-balanced affair.

The difficulty with the Lilywhites is their inconsistency. They have scored more goals than any side in the league, but they've lost the same number of games as Ipswich.

And talking of Town, it was the Tractor Boys who were the last visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the international break, when they registered a famous 2-1 win, their first of the season.

Beaten but unbowed, Tottenham's next Premier League fixture was away at the champions, Man City, and they won 4-0.

That was last weekend and since then they have been involved in a UEFA Europa League tussle with Roma on Thursday night, a game which ended in a 2-2 draw.

That was their first draw since the opening weekend of the season, but certainly not their first game featuring four goals or more - they have been involved in eight of those including four of their last five.

They know they boast the firepower to overwhelm any opponent, but they are also vulnerable in defence and that will offer the visitors hope.

Silva has had a full week to prepare for this game - unlike Postecoglou - and that has given him and his staff time to get their heads around last weekend's horror 4-1 home defeat to Wolves.

They had lost just two in 12 before that - against Man City and Aston Villa - so the sense is the defeat to Wolves was a blip and they can prove that by avoiding defeat, at the very worst, at Tottenham.

Pedro Porro over 0.5 shots on target - 6/5

Spurs were their customary rampaging selves against Roma in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night, registering 24 shots and conceding 18 in a fun-packed 2-2 draw.

Postecoglou has no end of attacking quality to pick from, though it isn't just the stars from the top third of the pitch who are racking up shots.

Right-back Pedro Porro had six efforts against Roma, two on target, high even by his standards, which are in turn high for a full-back.

Porro has been averaging 1.7 shots per game in the Premier League this season and has bagged a couple of goals as a result.

The Spaniard looks value at 6/5 to manage at least one shot on target against Fulham.

Tottenham -2 corner handicap - 11/10

Only Manchester City are winning more corners this season than Tottenham, with 9.2 per match compared to Spurs' 8.8.

At home Spurs are winning a fraction shy of 10 corners per match, which is no great surprise given that they average 17.7 shots per match.

A side that attacking will collect corners and they can win three or more more than Fulham, who are averaging 5.3 corners on their travels.
