Teams with the most all-time points in the UEFA Champions League

We take a look at the teams who have accrued the most all-time points in the UEFA Champions League, including in its previous iteration as the European Cup pre-1992.

Most all-time points in UEFA Champions League history

• Real Madrid

It is unlikely to come as much of a surprise to learn that Real Madrid have picked up the most points in UEFA Champions League history, with Los Blancos the record 15-time winners of the competition.

Real's first success in the tournament came in its inaugural edition in 1956, with the Spaniards overcoming French outfit Reims 4-3 in the final at the Parc des Princes.

• Bayern Munich

German giants Bayern Munich have picked up the second most points in UEFA Champions League history, with the Bavarians winning the competition on six occasions.

Bayern most recently won the UEFA Champions League in 2020 following a 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the final at Estadio da Luz.

• Barcelona

Barcelona are third on this list, winning a total of five UEFA Champions League finals in their history.

The Catalans' first taste of success in the competition arrived in 1992 after a Johan Cruyff-managed side defeated Sampdoria 1-0 after extra-time in the final at Wembley.

• Juventus

Juventus are fourth in this all-time list as two-time winners of the UEFA Champions League.

The Old Lady won their first European Cup title in 1985 after overcoming Liverpool 1-0 in the final at the Heysel Stadium in Brussels.

• Manchester United

Manchester United have collected the fifth most points in UEFA Champions League history.

The Red Devils were last crowned champions of Europe in the UEFA Champions League in 2008 following a penalty shootout victory over Premier League rivals Chelsea at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

• AC Milan

With the second most UEFA Champions League titles of all time with seven to their name, AC Milan are next in the reckoning in this all-time points list.

The Rossoneri picked up their first European crown in 1963 after edging Benfica 2-1 in a final held at Wembley Stadium in London.

• Liverpool

Six-time winners of the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool have totalled the seventh most points in the history of the competition.

Holding the most UEFA Champions League titles of any English club, Liverpool last won the competition in 2019 following a 2-0 win over Tottenham in the final at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

• Benfica

Portuguese giants Benfica are eighth in this all-time list as two-time winners of the UEFA Champions League.

Benfica won back-to-back European Cup titles in 1961 and 1962, overcoming Barcelona and Real Madrid in the two respective finals.

• Porto

Just behind their rivals in terms of total UEFA Champions League points, Porto arrive in ninth place in these all-time standings.

Porto have won the UEFA Champions League on two occasions, most recently under the auspices of Jose Mourinho who guided the club to a 3-0 win over Monaco in the 2004 final.

• Inter Milan

Number 10 on this list of clubs with the most all-time UEFA Champions League points is Inter Milan, who have won the competition three times in total.

Inter's most recent UEFA Champions League triumph came in 2010 as Mourinho guided the Nerazzurri to a sensational Treble of trophies.
