Stuttgart have enjoyed a positive start to the season which has been built on the foundation of an impressive home record at MHPArena.

Losing just one of their last 19 home games in the Bundesliga, teams in the German top-flight know just how hard it is to come away from MHPArena with the three points.

Young Boys might well have the same experience this week as we expect them to not only lose on Wednesday night but fail to get on the scoresheet as well.

With just two goals in the UEFA Champions League this season in five games, Young Boys have struggled with the step up in quality in Europe’s elite club competition this term.

Stuttgart disappointed in their previous two European games against Atalanta and Crvena Zvezda, but they did earn a 1-0 win at Juventus in October and a similar scoreline might well be on the cards at MHPArena this week.

Half Time/Full Time - Draw/Stuttgart - 10/3

While home results have been largely positive for Stuttgart, this is not a team that tends to blow away opposition sides in the first half.

Looking back on Die Roten’s last five home games in all competitions, they have not led once at the half-time whistle.

Young Boys will be fully aware of the size of the task ahead of them and will try to frustrate the hosts in the opening stages in a bid to silence the German home crowd.

However, Stuttgart’s extra quality in the final third should show eventually and it would be little surprise to see Sebastian Hoeness’ side find the back of the net in the second-half.

With that in mind, there is good value to be had with the scores being level at the half-time whistle, before Stuttgart make home advantage count in the second-half on their way to a valuable home victory in their bid to make a late surge for the knockout places.

Ermedin Demirovic first goalscorer - 7/2

Playing a 4-2-3-1 system, it’s Ermedin Demirovic who will most likely be playing the central attacking role for Stuttgart in this one.

While Demirovic has only scored one goal in the UEFA Champions League this season, he is Die Roten’s top goalscorer in the Bundesliga this term, scoring seven goals in 13 appearances.

With fellow forward Deniz Undav expected to miss Wednesday’s game due to injury, there will be extra onus on Demirovic to deliver in the final third.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina striker has a brief loan spell in Switzerland with St. Gallen and will be fully aware of the strengths and weaknesses in this Young Boys side.

Looking to get back to goalscoring ways following his brace away against Werder Bremen on 30th November, Demirovic is well priced to bag what could prove to be the decisive first goal against Young Boys in this one.

Predicted Starting Line-ups
