That was the Hatters' fourth successive win, with them closing the gap on Wrexham and Wycombe by eight and four points respectively across this period. They are still five points adrift of Wrexham and nine off Wycombe, but automatic promotion is not out of the question just yet.

This upturn in form comes despite the recall of top scorer Louie Barry from his loan spell at the club, with a different scorer finding the net for each of their seven goals during this spell.

Barnsley, meanwhile, have slipped out of the play-off spots after taking just one point from the last 12 available, including defeats in each of their last two away assignments.

Four of these goals have come on Barnsley’s travels, and despite his recent drop off he has still scored five and assisted two in his last 10 appearances.
